Pre-Warrior life

Dia used to live at home with her parents and younger brother, Cass. She always felt called to protect her world and family, and so chose to become a Warrior. She wasn't prepared to have to cut all contact with her family, and always regretted having to do so.

Abilities

Warrior enhanced abilities: All Warriors have enhanced physical capabilities, as a byproduct of being bound to angelic magic. Dia was very capable at using her physicality in conjunction with her fire.
Angelic gift: Dia controlled fire, sometimes in simple blazes or fireballs but most frequently in a two-handed broadsword. She herself could not be burned by fire she summoned, though she was not entirely fireproof. Her clothes would also burn unless she expended effort to prevent her fire from touching them.
Bargained gift: Dia did not bargain for a power with her Sprite.
Weapon: Dia did not employ weapons other than her summoned broadsword.
Mentoring: Dia was a mentor of unparalleled capability. Despite having three mentees (instead of the usual two), one of whom could not speak, and despite dying before she could finish mentoring them, all three of them have turned out to be some of the strongest combatants Luan has to offer, easily rivaling or beating students in the year above them.

Name

"Diatrix" is directly taken from "gladiatrix," the female form of "Gladiator."
"Dia" means "day," though this was unintentional.
"Igni" is derived from Latin "Ignis," meaning "fire."
