Torai, before joining Luan Academy, had an unrelenting curiosity about her universe, its creation, and the force which would someday destroy
it. As an only child with few friends, she spent much of her time reading, switching between epic series of world-shattering drama to research
articles published by Warriors who research Corruption.
Since Corruption is much too dangerous to study in a lab setting, Torai aims to research
it out in the field, and to be strong enough to prevent research accidents.
Warrior enhanced abilities: All Warriors have enhanced physical capabilities, as a byproduct of being bound to angelic magic. Torai has
been honing her skills for several years, and has mastered the coordination of her body with her extremely quick mind.
Angelic gift: Torai can command air to coalesce into solid plates, and then force the plates to shatter, creating an outward force similar to
a small explosion. She uses these plates for both offensive and defensive purposes.
Bargained gift: The enhancement of Torai's neurons means that her reflexes, reaction time, and thinking are all greatly enhanced in speed,
though not necessarily in quality. Combined with her practice and research, Torai is considered one of the smartest people at Luan Academy. Due to how
quickly she processes information, her mind struggles to convert all of her short-term memory into long-term, and so she still has to study like her
peers do.
Weapon: Besides Torai's pressurized air plates, she does not use a weapon.
Literature: Due to how quickly she can process new information, Torai can read most books quite a bit more quickly than many other avid readers.
She also forgets most of the plots rather easily, so she can re-experience a lot of books several times before their novelty wears off.
"Torai" is a misspelling of "tori," the plural of "torus." (It also sounds like "torr," a unit of air pressure, though this is not on purpose.)
"Pascal" is also a unit of air pressure.
